Engineered for demanding thermal environments, YUFENG WOOL® Ceramic Fiber Rope is manufactured from premium alumina-silica ceramic fiber. Presenting a dense yet pliable tactile feel, this sealing material is 100% free of asbestos, completely non-toxic, and generates no irritating smoke when exposed to extreme heat, thereby safeguarding operator health and strictly complying with international environmental standards (SDS safety data sheets are readily available). The Ceramic Fiber Rope can be used in different industrial applications under temperature up to 1260°C (2300 ℉), delivering excellent chemical stability, strong resistance to thermal shock, and immunity to corrosion attack. It also effectively resists oxidation and reduction processes.
To aid in the manufacturing process, the Ceramic Fiber Rope contains 15% organic carriers, which helps establish the physical formation of the products. These carriers will be burned out under approximately 400 °C, leaving a pure, refractory structure. Furthermore, the Ceramic Fiber Rope also contains enforcement insert material of Inconel wire or continuous fiber filament to increase handling strength during installations and enhance fiber durability to rated temperatures of 1093°C for Inconel wire and 649 °C for fiberglass filament. Backed by a rigorous TÜV/ISO certified quality management system, every batch maintains highly consistent physical properties and tensile strength.
The highest density of ceramic fiber ropes are the round braid and square braid, which are produced by over braiding around a core of ceramic fiber to achieve maximum resistance to mechanical abuse. In addition to its superior strength, round and square braids also exhibit minimal unraveling when cut. This exceptional workability means operators can easily size the material using standard industrial scissors or cutting tools, allowing for precise, clean cuts that adapt flawlessly to complex furnace doors and intricate piping gaps without fraying.
This kind of ceramic fiber rope is made by forming many strands of yarn into three separate plies, which are then twisted into a three-ply rope. Multi-Ply Twisted is also available. The twisted configuration provides distinct installation advantages; the multi-strand design can be manually untwisted and split according to specific dimensional requirements, ensuring a snug, customized fit even in the most irregular or narrow industrial crevices where standard solid ropes cannot penetrate.
